Are you confined to imprisonment in your home as for the sole reason that you are pregnant? Well, it is then time to break your shackles as it is safe to travel during pregnancy with the advice from your doctor. Generally, it is not advisable to travel during the first trimester; it is not due to fact of a travel leading to a miscarriage, but certainly due to the issues of comfort as most women have morning sickness and nausea in the first trimester. Second trimester can be a considered the best occasion during pregnancy to travel, due to the reason that the morning sickness and nausea might disappear, fresh feeling pops as to enjoy your travel. In the third trimester, you might feel uncomfortable with your baby bump protruding and also the usage of outside home rest rooms become difficult and undesirable.

Hunger is the usual companion of the pregnant women, skipping food is never an option as you could end up fainting. So plan ahead and carry a good amount of nutritious food that you like. Do carry some extra along as you have to expect the unexpected at all times especially during pregnancy.

Relax your muscles from the strain of sitting in the same position, by taking short walks. If you are travelling by your own vehicle, then take pit stops as frequently as possible, which would enable you to stretch a bit. If buses are your mode of transportation, get out of the bus at breaks to keep you off cramps.  In trains and air travels, you trips to the rest rooms are sure enough to flex your muscles. Also remember that sitting is the best recommended position for travelling.

Though the places that you least want to use are the rest rooms, now time has come for you to use it frequently even if you dislike it. Water intake during pregnancy should be higher than that of the usual. Do not limit the water intake, it could cause some urinary problems which are never easy to solve during pregnancy.
