Queen Elizabeth became the first British royal leader, whose marriage at the age of 65 years. Queen and Prince Philip celebrate wedding anniversary this 65th closed at Buckingham Palace in London.

Princess Elizabeth and Prince Philip were married on 20 November 1947 in Westminster Abbey, which is also used as a wedding venue of Prince William and Kate Middleton last year. Wedding Anniversary 65th to coincide with the celebration of the 60th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth's throne years.

Prince Philip, aged 91 years, could not attend some important event in early June for the celebration had to undergo treatment in hospital due to urinary tract infection. On the eve of the wedding celebration-65, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip attend the Royal Variety Performance, performing for members of the royal family at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

Those who perform at this event include Kylie Minogue, Girls Aloud, Sir Bruce Forsyth, One Direction, Katherine Jenkins, Alicia Keys, and Neil Diamond. Queen and Prince Philip first met in 1934 at the wedding of Prince Philip's cousin, Princess Mariana from Greece with Princess Elizabeth's uncle, the Duke of Kent.
